After not having internet or cable for 4 days, xfinity had to come and run another new orange cable also the length of my yard. ![]() Centerpoint had to come out at 9pm at night that night and run a temporary line, which is a huge black tube that runs the length of my yard after my daughter was almost electrocuted at the breaker box. In that time, they cut my centerpoint electricity line, my xfinity line and I had 2 deep holes in my backyard and another 7 to 8 foot long trench approximately 3 feet deep along my house. Pretty certain we won't have a credit on our account for this, unless we get on the phone and spend more time than a reasonable ROI would justify.ĪT&T you should do better to have more technicians available to service your clients.ĪT&T came to my house and ran a fiber line through my backyard as well without asking, stating they have the "right". We will need to find alternative working locations due to our work from home status. At the moment though I am feeling frustrated we let this previous experience with AT&T and their lack of follow up impact our current work environment. The contractor asked if customer had phone service, the customer responded no. Recently had a customer having their house painted on the outside by a local contractor. In more recent years blue pair is line 1 with orange pair line 2.īest to call and schedule a tech appointment, depending on what happened expect a minimum $99 service call. Several years ago the green pair would have been line 1 with orange pair line 2 as standard. IF referring to the wiring from the NID to inside the home, depends on what was available during the install and when installed. The likely best option is new wiring from terminal to the NID requiring a local contractor to bury the new line. You referring to the colors on the drop wire at the NID going to the Terminal? If yes, you have two different cables spliced together somewhere.
